Ever seen the old black and white scary movies? You know, the one were a doctor took a lifeless hulk of a corpes and brought it back to life but it didnt act or behave like it did when it was an actual human. Basically he was a mechanism brought to life and put into motion. The doctor created an it, rather than anything human. Then this monster was released into the public and created fear and panic in the lives of the towns-people, which in turn created a hatred for the beast. I believe as the church we are similar to this story. We have created the same type of beast. People who think they are doing right but in reality are more scary than helpful. The bible teaches us that even though we speak with tongues of angels and prophets and we don't have love, we have nothing. We will never reach the un-churched through the monster that is religion. We should strive for a relationship with God in order to reach people through love and compassion.
